Starting Kindergarten
Your child can start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five on or before 31 July in that year. By law, all children must be enrolled in school by their sixth birthday.
Kindergarten is an important year of schooling as children formally begin to learn and develop their literacy and numeracy skills.
Kindergarten Orientation
Our 'Kindy Orientation Day' enables your child to get a feel of what school is like. Students will spend a morning in the Kindergarten classroom participating in typical Kindergaten learning experiences and become familiar with the school environment. This time also allows for our teaching staff to gather information about your child's learning and social needs.
Whilst your child enjoys their morning in the classroom, parents are invited to an information session in the school hall.
This information session is designed to inform your about your child's readiness for school, the curriculum, any administrative information and will provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
